The goblet squat is a great variation of a traditional squat. 
The dumbbell is held in front of the chest in a vertical position activating the muscles in the core as well as your quads and glutes.

The shape of your hands holding the dumbbell is where the name comes from.

Dumbbell Lunges

There are so many variations of dumbbell lunges you could never get bored with them. 
This video shows a walking lunge. You have the dumbbells by your side and take a step forward, keeping the back straight. 

Watch your balance as your muscles get tired, and do less reps if your form gets a bit messy.

Bulgarian Split Squat (using dumbbells)

Your legs will let you know when you have performed this exercise. 
Balancing on one leg takes a bit of getting used to, but the benefits of this exercise are well worth the effort.
